This outfit is oooooold, like last winter old. Like a year old! Back when my hair was still almost my own super dark brown, with some babylights in my lengths. I'd still wear this outfit any day of the week though, comfortable and funky yet wearable, with some light 70s influences.

I haven't been wearing my wedgie jeans as much this season - I basically lived in these last winter, but this time around I'm wearing more tights and skirts/dresses again. All things follow a cycle, including style, I guess? Either that or the fact that I don't want my ankles to get cold during these early winter morning commutes. Probably mostly that.

As an aside, I had my first two presentations at the new job the past two weeks and everything went swimmingly. Total relief, because you know ya girl has mad stress to prove herself at a new position. I call it the six month imposter syndrome limbo. Cheers!

Giveaway: e-Polette blue light filter glasses

Hi babes! Raise your hand if you have a job where you spent most of your day staring at screens. Yep, technology is basically the best thing ever if you ask me, but it also means being stuck at your desk, developing eye strain and headaches that make it hard to perform at your best capacity. If all of this sounds familiar, I have three tips for you:

- use the 20-20-20 rule, which means that every 20 minutes you should give your eyes a break by focusing on something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. This is an optician's tip to prevent tired eyes
- invest in a matte screen, set it at a brightness that is similar to the light level of your current surroundings, and use the blue light filter that most devices come with these days when it starts getting late
- if all else fails, get yourself some prescription eye-drops and try out glasses that filter blue light out. Like these e-Polette Joplin glasses I'm wearing today.

Interested? I'm giving away a pair of e-glasses (without prescription lenses) today. You can choose the frames yourself from Polette's e-polette range - worth a try, right?

All you have to do is:
- follow Polette on instagram (@poletteeyewear)
- follow me on instagram (@stylingdutchman)
- leave a comment or email me at thestylingdutchman@hotmail.com, mentioning your instagram handle and the e-polette frame you'd like to win

and that's it! I will pick a winner  on the 28th of January, 8pm. Good luck!
